My name is Erik Blomquist, I am a recent IT graduate from CSUN and a certified AWS Cloud Practitioner. Born and raised in Sweden but currently living in Los Angeles (since 2011) with my wife and four cats . I am passionate about Amazon Web Services and have 2 years of experience in securing, deploying, monitoring and migrating applications to a modern economic friendly and scalable solution in the cloud. I am currently working to obtain the AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certificate while learning more about the latest and greatest DevOps tools.
Senior project at CSUN where we used Docker containers, AWS Elastic Container Registry (ECR) and Elastic Container Service (ECS) to build a cloud infrastructure (prod and test environments) for a permission number system app developed by the Computer Science department of CSUN. Responsible for creating machine images with packer and auto scaling with different monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, and Prometheus/Grafana.

I setup a blog from an outdated hugo theme to make it easier for my client to manage their research publications. Hosted on Netlify instead of an expensive hosting provider. https://antebellumrichmond.netlify.com/
Personal blog created using Hugo.io and Terraform. Hosted on a S3 bucket using CloudFront. Travis CI used to automate the deployment from GitHub to S3.
